My Story
I'm Laura Rowbottom, the founder and sole therapist at Whiterose Hypnotherapy. I'm based in Yorkshire and I work with clients who are ready to make real, positive changes in their lives — whether that means overcoming anxiety, conquering a long-held fear, quitting smoking, or developing a healthier relationship with food.
My journey into hypnotherapy began from a personal place. I know first-hand how much our thoughts, habits, and subconscious patterns can shape our day-to-day experience — and I know the profound sense of relief and freedom that comes from working through them.
"My greatest reward is seeing clients leave sessions with a sense of lightness and possibility they hadn't felt in years."
I trained to a high standard and hold full professional qualifications in clinical hypnotherapy. I am fully insured and committed to ongoing professional development, so you can always be confident you're in safe and capable hands.
How I Work
Every person I work with is unique, and so is every programme I create.
Your goals, your pace, your comfort. I tailor every aspect of your programme around what's right for you.
Whatever you bring to the session, you'll always be met with empathy, understanding, and zero judgement.
My methods are grounded in recognised therapeutic models and the latest research into how behaviour change works.
Everything shared in our sessions stays in our sessions. Your privacy is something I take very seriously.

Your Questions, Answered
Absolutely not. Hypnosis is a natural state of focused relaxation. You remain fully aware and in complete control at all times.
It varies by person and goal. Some issues can be addressed in 1–2 sessions; others benefit from 4–6. I'll give you an honest assessment after our free consultation.
Most clients describe it as deeply relaxing — a bit like that lovely floaty feeling just before you fall asleep. You're aware of everything, just wonderfully calm.
I offer both in-person sessions and online sessions via video call, so you can benefit from hypnotherapy wherever you are.
